This Privacy Policy explains how Traderfyles Inc. ("QastLedger", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use qastledger.com, app.qastledger.com and related services (the "Service"). If you have questions, email [email protected].
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address, password and, if you add it, your name. Your password is stored only as a secure hash; we can't read it.
- Connected accounts: for Kalshi, the API Key ID and private key you create in your Kalshi account. The private key is encrypted before it's stored. For Polymarket, your public wallet address. We never ask for your crypto wallet's private key or seed phrase.
- Files you upload: trade history you import by CSV.
- Settings: choices such as how your Polymarket trades are treated for tax purposes, and prices you enter by hand for open positions.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through support.
Information we get from connected platforms
When you connect an account, we retrieve your trade history, fills, settlements and related fees from Kalshi's API or from Polymarket's public data using your wallet address. We use this data to calculate your profit and loss and build your reports. We only read data; we never place trades, move funds or change anything in your accounts.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive limited information from Stripe, such as your plan and payment status.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: pages you visit, buttons you click, approximate location based on IP address, browser and device type, and how you arrived at the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used and to measure the results of our marketing, including actions such as creating an account or making a purchase. We don't send your email, name or trading data to Google Analytics.
- Server logs: our hosting providers keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and troubleshooting.
How we use information
- To provide the Service: pulling your trade history, calculating P&L, applying the tax treatment you choose and generating your reports.
- To process payments and manage your subscription or purchases.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- To understand how the Service is used, improve it and measure our advertising.
- To send you service messages, such as receipts and important account notices.
- To comply with the law.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your trading data with advertisers. We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers who help us run the Service, under agreements that limit how they use it: hosting (Railway), payments (Stripe), website delivery and security (Cloudflare), email (Google Workspace) and analytics (Google Analytics).
- Connected platforms: when you connect Kalshi, we send your API credentials to Kalshi to authenticate requests for your data.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, legal process or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or us.
- Business transfers: if we're involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
- With your permission: for anything else, we'll ask first.
Your choices
- Disconnect accounts: you can disconnect a connected platform at any time, which deletes its stored credentials and the trade data we pulled from it. You can also revoke your Kalshi API key directly in Kalshi.
- Access, correct or delete your data: email [email protected] and we'll help. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll delete your personal information except what we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
- Analytics: you can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Marketing emails: if we send them, every one will include a way to unsubscribe.
State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have rights to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of certain uses such as targeted advertising. To make a request, email [email protected]. We'll verify your request and won't treat you differently for using these rights.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account is open, so your history and reports stay available across tax years. After you close your account, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable time, except for records we must keep to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations or to resolve disputes.
Security
We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), encryption of stored API credentials, and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or in the app.
